Sales Officer - Building Materials

Job Overview and Locations

This role is for a Sales Officer focused on building materials, primarily TMT steel bars, with job openings available in multiple locations including Vellore, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallore, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, and Chennai. There are 10 vacancies in total.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed monthly and yearly sales targets for TMT steel bars.
• Expand business through partnerships with dealers, distributors, builders, contractors, and engineers.
• Regularly visit construction sites to identify new sales opportunities.
• Recruit new dealers and strengthen the current dealer network.
• Develop strong relationships with architects, structural consultants, and project engineers to drive product specifications and sales volume.
• Keep track of market trends, competitor pricing, and activities.
• Collaborate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Ensure punctual payment collection and maintain healthy accounts with customers.
• Prepare and submit daily call reports, sales reports, and market feedback to management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree or a Diploma in any field.
• Experience ranging from 1 to 5 years in sales of TMT steel, cement, or other building materials.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Must own a two-wheeler and hold a valid driving license.
• Willingness to travel extensively in Chennai and adjacent districts.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with prior involvement in selling cement, paint, TMT bars, or other construction materials and managing dealers, contractors, builders, and engineers in the Chennai area are favored.

Additional Details

• Monthly salary ranges from 20,000 to 28,000 INR.
• Extensive travel within the specified geographical locations is an inherent requirement of the role.
