Job Summary
The Sales Executive will act as the primary sales professional responsible for driving growth and nurturing client relationships within the food service industry. This role entails targeting new business prospects, managing ongoing accounts, and meeting sales objectives for premium beverage lines such as JDE Maxwell, Jacob's coffee, and Davinci. As a representative of the brand, outstanding customer engagement combined with insightful market understanding will play a key part in advancing the brand's presence locally.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively hunt for and pursue new sales leads and prospects primarily in the HORECA sector including hotels, restaurants, cafés, and caterers with emphasis on beverage offerings.
- Perform sales presentations, calls, and product demonstrations showcasing premium beverages to potential buyers.
- Negotiate and close contracts to secure new client accounts successfully.
- Consistently meet or surpass set monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
- Manage and build strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring ongoing account satisfaction and retention.
- Address client requests, doubts, or concerns promptly and professionally as the main client liaison.
- Make regular client visits to sustain relationships and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling beverage items.
- Provide post-sale assistance and coordinate with logistics to guarantee timely product delivery.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of beverage products, including insight into menu engineering and preparation techniques.
- Stay updated on local market conditions, competitor activity, and pricing trends affecting the beverage industry.
- Collect market feedback to advise higher management and improve sales tactics and product offerings.
- Serve as the initial contact for customers encountering technical or quality matters, coordinating with quality assurance and technical teams for assessments, installations, and maintenance.
- Ensure timely resolution of client issues and proper handling of equipment placement and maintenance tracking.
- Maintain comprehensive records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales pipelines within the CRM tool.
- Generate regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance summaries for supervisory staff.
- Work alongside finance to facilitate smooth order processing, invoicing, and payment collection.
- Collaborate with marketing, category management, and supply chain divisions to implement brand campaigns, promotions, and events.
- Adhere strictly to internal policies, pricing rules, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards.
- Exemplify ethical sales techniques and maintain full regulatory compliance.
- Represent the company and beverage brands with professionalism at trade events, exhibitions, and client appointments.
- Engage in continuous professional development through training sessions and market research to enhance product and industry expertise.
- Support a positive and collaborative team environment by sharing best practices and assisting colleagues.
Education & Experience
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred, ideally in Business, Marketing, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 2-3 years of proven sales experience, preferably within the food and beverage field and HORECA sector.
