Role Overview
The Sales Director will be integral to driving commercial growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities across Europe. This influential role requires someone adept at forging strategic partnerships, entering new markets, and growing revenue in the cross-border payments sector. The role involves close collaboration with various internal teams to craft and execute the company's commercial strategy and broaden iPiD's footprint in Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commercial strategies aligned with company goals to accelerate European market growth.
- Perform market research and analyze data to create comprehensive business plans targeting expansion and business development.
- Understand and address existing clients' requirements to ensure satisfaction.
- Acquire new customers and maintain relationships with both new and current clients.
- Collaborate across departments including product management, marketing, and customer success to align efforts.
- Establish and nurture profitable partnerships with crucial stakeholders.
- Track commercial activities using key performance metrics and prepare reports for senior leadership.
- Support financial target setting, budget preparation, and monitoring activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong academic credentials in engineering, business, or relevant equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of results-driven experience in the payments industry, ideally focusing on cross-border payments.
- Demonstrated success as a commercial director or similar role within Europe.
- Extensive experience in sales and/or marketing along with managing key client relationships.
- Profound knowledge of market research techniques and analysis.
- Good command of performance measurement and financial budgeting processes.
- Commercially astute with a strategic mindset and leadership capabilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to lead diverse teams.
- Fluent in English and at least two major European languages such as French, German, Spanish, or Italian, with strong verbal and written communication.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
