Role Summary
The Sales Director will be instrumental in advancing business expansion by pinpointing and capturing new opportunities across Europe. This high-impact role is suited for a professional skilled in cultivating strategic partnerships, entering new markets, and driving revenue growth within the cross-border payments sector. Collaboration with multifunctional teams will be essential to refine commercial strategies and broaden the company's European market footprint.
Key Duties
- Devise and execute commercial plans aligned with company objectives to accelerate growth in Europe.
- Perform market research and analysis to formulate comprehensive business plans targeting expansion and business development.
- Address existing client needs to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Engage in acquiring new clients and nurturing ongoing relationships.
- Work closely with teams including product management, marketing, and customer success to coordinate efforts.
- Establish and sustain profitable partnerships with major stakeholders.
- Track commercial performance via key metrics and prepare management reports.
- Assist in setting financial targets and oversee budgeting processes.
Candidate Profile
- A strong academic foundation in engineering, business, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of proven success in the payments industry, ideally cross-border payments.
- Experienced in commercial leadership roles within European markets.
- Demonstrated expertise in sales, marketing, and key client relationship management.
- Deep knowledge of market research methodologies and analytical techniques.
- Competent in performance reporting and managing budgets.
- Possess commercial insight coupled with strategic thinking capabilities.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Fluent in English and at least two major European languages such as French, German, Spanish, or Italian.
- Ability to interact effectively with both technical and business audiences.
