Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking a Safety Officer to join a six-month project based in MIC, Qatar within the Oil & Gas / EPC sector, with a possibility of contract extension. Immediate start is expected.
Key Responsibilities and Expertise
- Oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance on Oil & Gas or EPC projects, especially in the MIC region.
- Conduct permit-to-work processes, lead toolbox talks, perform incident investigations, and prepare safety reports.
- Ensure adherence to QatarEnergy HSE standards and on-site regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 10 years of relevant HSE experience in Oil & Gas or EPC projects.
- Familiarity with QatarEnergy or petrochemical projects within MIC is preferred.
- Possess NEBOSH IGC Level 3 and IOSH Managing Safely certifications.
Required Documentation
- Valid Qatar ID (QID), Passport, and DVC for immediate employment eligibility.
- Preferred documents include a valid MIC Gate Pass, QatarEnergy Fit-to-Work Certificate, H2S Safety Card, First Aid Certificate, and Authorized Gas Tester Certificate.
