Role Overview
We are seeking a conscientious and detail-oriented part-time Room Attendant to become part of our Housekeeping team. This role focuses on maintaining clean, comfortable, and inviting guest rooms and allocated areas to meet Cordis Auckland's exacting standards. Ideal candidates will demonstrate pride in their work, an ability to collaborate within a large team, and meticulous attention to cleanliness and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean guest rooms and designated areas efficiently within set timeframes.
- Ensure rooms meet high presentation standards and are prepared for guest arrivals.
- Restock and maintain supplies and cleaning trolley after each use.
- Use appropriate cleaning products following hotel guidelines and protocols.
- Communicate clearly with Housekeeping Office, Supervisors, fellow Room Attendants, and other hotel departments.
- Address guest inquiries politely and professionally.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness in public and other hotel areas as needed.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times.
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely, complying with all safety guidelines.
- Support sustainability initiatives including proper waste disposal and responsible resource usage.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in hotel or accommodation settings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to work quality.
- Dedication to cleanliness and excellent room presentation standards.
- Friendly, courteous, and professional interaction with guests and coworkers.
- Proficient communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a large team.
- Organized, reliable, and effective in managing time.
- Positive attitude and initiative in a dynamic work environment.
- Flexibility with roster, especially availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
- Passion for delivering outstanding guest service.
