Overview
Identifi Global Resources is recruiting a Resource Manager to support a prominent technology and professional services firm. The position offers a salary ranging from £35,000 to £40,000 and is based in a flexible location within the UK, with occasional travel to London. Potential base locations include Manchester, Birmingham, Reading, or areas within the Home Counties.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee resource requests from initial identification to successful allocation.
- Maintain an up-to-date and precise inventory of internal skills, certifications, experience, and availability.
- Allocate available personnel to projects, balancing skill sets, development goals, client requirements, and financial factors.
- Determine the optimal sourcing approach, including usage of onshore, nearshore, offshore teams, contractors, or external partners.
- Track resource utilization, bench availability, shortages, and anticipate capacity risks.
- Convert project needs into clear briefs for external partners and contingent workforce suppliers.
- Review CVs, shortlist candidates, and coordinate interviews alongside internal teams.
- Manage multiple resource priorities, escalating conflicts as necessary.
- Develop trusted relationships with practice leaders, project and delivery teams, and international resourcing staff.
- Provide accurate resource-related data, forecasts, and insights for management.
- Contribute to enhancing resource management workflows, reporting mechanisms, and service delivery quality.
Requirements
- Previous experience in resource management, workforce deployment, project staffing, or professional services resourcing is preferred.
- Background working in technology, consulting, or professional services industries.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
- Ability to challenge project requirements and negotiate competing resource demands confidently.
- Skilled in matching personnel and skills to project or customer needs.
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple dynamic requirements efficiently.
- High attention to detail and dedication to maintaining data accuracy.
- Proficiency with resource management, workforce planning, or scheduling software tools.
- Advanced competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Analytical mindset coupled with commercial awareness for problem-solving.
- Adaptability to effectively operate in a rapidly changing environment.
- Eligibility and capacity to obtain UK Security Clearance.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Power BI, advanced Excel functions, workforce planning platforms, or AI productivity solutions like Microsoft Copilot is advantageous; training will be offered.
