Job description
Role overview
This contract opportunity is centered on expanding the online reach of an animal welfare initiative through strategic social media management. The position involves growing and shaping the presence of channels such as Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, with a strong emphasis on short-form video storytelling that inspires engagement and support.
The selected professional will work with provided footage and turn it into compelling narratives that highlight the cause, connect emotionally with audiences, and encourage action from supporters across the US, India, and other regions.
Content and channel management
You will own the full content process, from brainstorming ideas and editing videos to publishing posts and reviewing how each piece performs. A key part of the role is building a consistent communication style that reflects the organization’s purpose and keeps messaging aligned across every platform.
- Create and manage a content plan customized for each social media channel.
- Cut and edit short-form videos from supplied raw footage to maximize engagement and shareability.
- Write captions and publish content on all assigned social networks.
- Track content results, review performance data, and share insights to improve future campaigns.
- Contribute to creative ideas that deepen the emotional bond between donors and the animals being supported.
- Keep the brand voice steady and recognizable across every platform.
Requirements
This role calls for someone with hands-on experience running social media accounts for brands or organizations, especially where video content is a major part of the strategy. Strong editing ability and comfort using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar software are important.
Applicants should also be able to write engaging captions and stories for different audiences, use analytics tools to measure content performance, and stay organized while handling multiple platforms and deadlines. A genuine interest in animal welfare is essential, along with the ability to express that commitment through digital storytelling. Experience working with international audiences would be an added advantage.
The work requires ongoing remote collaboration.
