Role Overview

micro1 is looking for a Legal Specialist contractor to join remotely. This role involves applying your legal knowledge to support AI model training and development. Key duties include thorough scrutiny of contracts, negotiations, case evaluations, and risk analysis to ensure legal compliance and minimize risks. You will assist in litigation support, regulatory compliance, and due diligence related to corporate deals. Additionally, you will be engaged in crafting system prompts and evaluation rubrics for legal AI usage and conducting stepwise interactions with AI agents to maintain precision and coherence. Prior AI experience is not needed; your legal expertise is the priority.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed review, drafting, and negotiation of legal contracts to protect business interests and manage risks effectively.
• Conduct legal case analysis and research to provide strategic advice and actionable insights.
• Assist litigation efforts and dispute resolution by preparing necessary materials and collaborating with internal and external counsel.
• Evaluate and ensure regulatory compliance; facilitate due diligence for corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions.
• Create system prompts and rubrics designed for legal AI applications, engaging in iterative conversations with AI to guarantee accuracy and relevance.
• Maintain utmost confidentiality, ethics, and professional integrity in all legal-related tasks and communications.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and improve legal tools, workflows, and applications, utilizing your legal domain expertise.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of legal principles, corporate law, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven abilities in contract review, negotiation, case research, risk assessment, and due diligence tasks.
• Experience supporting litigation and dispute resolution is highly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with precise attention to detail and clarity.
