Role overview
This contract position is centered on strengthening the digital footprint of a prominent solar solutions business serving Canada, with a key focus on Alberta and office locations in Calgary and Edmonton. The assignment is fully remote and part-time, and the goal is to generate quick, measurable improvements in search visibility, local discovery, and AI-assisted digital performance.
Key deliverables
- Review the website in depth and carry out SEO audits, then apply both on-page and off-page improvements.
- Raise local search performance, with particular attention to Google Maps rankings and Alberta-based location searches.
- Create and run AI-enabled tactics that expand visibility and improve user engagement.
- Track SEO results, interpret the data, and share clear reports with practical recommendations for further growth.
- Work with internal teams to ensure search strategy supports broader business objectives and marketing activity.
- Keep current with evolving SEO methods, AI tools, and industry best practices relevant to the solar sector.
Requirements
- Hands-on background in SEO covering technical, on-page, and off-page optimization.
- Proven ability to improve rankings and strengthen local search presence, especially on Google Maps.
- Working knowledge of AI-based marketing tools and approaches.
- Strong analytical capability along with experience using platforms such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar tools.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to prepare useful performance reports.
- Prior exposure to clients in energy, technology, or similar industries is an advantage.
- Self-directed working style with solid time management and the ability to deliver in a part-time contract setup.
- Availability to begin right away and work remotely.
