Overview
The Relationship Manager – Farmer Finance operates within the Retail Liabilities function, specializing in crafting and delivering customized financial products for agricultural clientele. The role emphasizes acquiring new clients, deepening current relationships, and ensuring high-quality service. Close collaboration with product and operations teams is essential to boost customer acquisition, maintain service standards, and expand the portfolio. This position supports branch banking objectives by managing new-to-bank clients and improving customer profitability.
Primary Duties
- Expand liabilities by increasing balances within existing Kisan Credit Card (KCC) accounts and capturing greater wallet share.
- Track account inflows and outflows to proactively uncover business opportunities.
- Engage with customers regularly through communications like mailers and calls, sharing information on interest rates, currency exchange, and product offerings.
- Generate new sales leads for KCC leveraging referrals, brokers, and other channels.
- Acquire new KCC clients with a solid knowledge of credit evaluation and financial documentation.
- Utilize expertise in liabilities, foreign exchange, trade finance, delinquency management, and relationship management to grow business volumes.
- Manage the KCC portfolio via ongoing monitoring, renewals, retention efforts, and maintaining portfolio health with minimal defaults or covenant breaches.
- Partner with branch banking teams to maximize synergies and contribute to the wider banking ecosystem.
- Assess growth strategies informed by competitor analysis and client feedback.
- Propose enhancements to processes aimed at improved service efficiency and quality across branches.
- Demonstrate aptitude in sales planning, promotional activities, and marketing campaigns.
- Interpret financial statements, credit assessments, and title/security documentation accurately.
Secondary Duties
- Attract and retain high-caliber talent for key roles within the team hierarchy.
- Oversee employee productivity, recruitment quality, and attrition; initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Support teams strategically and operationally to meet growth targets.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in any field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in rural banking, particularly with KCC/credit products or relationship management.
