Overview

The Corporate Salary Relationship Manager position is based in Mumbai and operates within the Retail Banking business unit, specifically under Branch Banking. This role prioritizes strengthening corporate salary account portfolios with a focus on account quality. The incumbent is responsible for discovering prospective corporate clients and converting these into tangible business opportunities, mainly by enabling sales managers and officers to acquire corporate salary accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expand and solidify the existing corporate salary account portfolio to enhance customer loyalty.
  • Maintain accuracy and timeliness of salary credits and account balances in acquired portfolios.
  • Regularly review underperforming clients and develop detailed action plans to improve performance.
  • Identify client needs and develop new revenue streams through cross-selling products and services.
  • Provide excellent customer relationship management to ensure efficient and superior service delivery.
  • Lead corporate engagement initiatives aimed at acquiring and retaining corporate clients.
  • Collect and analyze current market intelligence, benchmarking practices against competitors.
  • Stay well-informed on policies and procedures regarding products, KYC, and Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
  • Analyze competitor strategies and feedback from various sources to refine growth strategies.
  • Suggest and implement process improvements for enhanced service efficiency and quality throughout branch networks.
  • Supervise and develop a team of Relationship Officers, managing their performance and attrition.
  • Plan sales activities, conceptualize promotions, and coordinate marketing efforts effectively.

Leadership Duties

  • Recruit and maintain top-tier talent within the team structure.
  • Track and improve employee productivity, hiring effectiveness, and attrition rates.
  • Support teams in meeting growth objectives by providing necessary resources and guidance.

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Graduate degree in any discipline is required.
  • Postgraduate degree in Finance is preferred, with an MBA being advantageous.
  • A minimum of 11 years of relevant experience in branch banking is mandatory.
