A reputable organization is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to oversee and expand business in the Southeast region of the US, including Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. This position is tailor-made for a results-driven sales professional who thrives on cultivating strong customer relationships, discovering new business opportunities, and enhancing ties with existing accounts. The role involves owning a territory, forging meaningful partnerships, and contributing significantly to the company’s market expansion efforts, collaborating with sales, operations, and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of sales and business development activities across the Southeast US region.
- Manage and deepen relationships with customers, dealers, distributors, and strategic partners within the designated territory.
- Scout and develop new business prospects while reinforcing current customer connections.
- Engage in regular on-site customer visits, demonstrate products, and discuss solutions to drive sales.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows.
- Maintain comprehensive records of customer interactions, sales leads, and follow-up actions using the company's CRM system.
- Collaborate internally on pricing strategies, sales forecasts, and customer requirements.
- Provide weekly updates on activity and territory plans to management.
- Analyze market trends within the region to proactively identify growth opportunities and expand market share.
- Support marketing campaigns and follow up on generated leads within the territory.
- Relay customer feedback and market intelligence back to internal teams.
- Offer basic product troubleshooting and support as needed.
Qualifications
- Track record of successful outside sales specifically within truck components or heavy-duty trucking sectors.
- Experience and knowledge in hydraulics are highly desirable.
- Ability to build and maintain trustworthy customer relationships based on reliability and consistent follow-up.
- Self-motivated and proactive with a readiness to travel as necessary to grow the business.
