Job description
Role Overview
The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for providing strategic leadership and comprehensive oversight across multiple senior living communities. This leader ensures excellent resident care, fosters employee engagement, and drives strong financial outcomes. Working closely with Community Directors, the role focuses on operational excellence, increasing occupancy rates, managing costs effectively, and promoting a culture that reflects the organization’s mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and mentor Community Directors and their teams to deliver superior experiences for residents and employees.
- Manage daily operations encompassing staffing, staff training, regulatory compliance, and quality resident care.
- Identify new revenue streams, support marketing and sales efforts, and monitor occupancy metrics.
- Collaborate on budgeting processes, oversee financial performance, and hold team members accountable.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with operational standards and facilitate strong communication channels.
- Provide field training on operational procedures, sales strategies, lead management, and business growth initiatives.
- Support investigations into incidents and ensure adherence to state/federal regulations including HIPAA.
- Travel across the region as required and respond swiftly to urgent issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in senior living operations or related fields.
- 3 to 5 years of experience managing senior living facilities or similar operations.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities coupled with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with mobile operating platforms.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and make informed operational decisions.
