Job description
About the Role
Clarest Health is focused on improving patient care through modern pharmacy services for healthcare facilities. Its automated dispensing solutions are designed to simplify medication handling, support better patient outcomes, and improve the overall efficiency of healthcare operations. In this position, you will help advance that mission by leading accounting and finance operations for regional business units.
This is a strategic leadership opportunity for a finance professional who can strengthen operational performance, maintain compliance, and partner with senior leaders on financial decisions and reporting.
Location: Remote, U.S. only
Compensation: $140,000 to $145,000 annually, plus bonus
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Reporting to: Corporate Controller
Key Responsibilities
You will oversee accounting and finance operations across the assigned business unit, including day-to-day accounting activities and the preparation of internal and external financial reporting. The role includes delivering monthly performance results and insights to senior leadership, managing close cycles on monthly, quarterly, and year-end timelines, and performing variance analysis against budgets and forecasts with clear recommendations.
You will also lead budgeting and forecasting efforts in partnership with FP&A, work with operations leaders to assess initiatives and estimate financial impact, and keep pace with new accounting guidance by preparing technical memos as needed.
In addition, you will strengthen internal controls, support compliance with GAAP, IFRS, regulatory requirements, and company policies, and help ensure audit readiness through accurate documentation and process discipline.
Leadership is also a core part of the role. You will guide and mentor accountants and analysts, coach operations managers on financial accountability, and promote a collaborative, improvement-driven team culture. You will also partner with senior leadership on planning and decision-making while supporting automation and efficiency gains across finance operations. Compliance with the company Code of Conduct, internal policies, and reporting obligations for suspected legal or policy violations is also expected.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. A CPA or CMA is preferred.
You should bring at least 10 years of progressive experience across accounting and finance, preferably in pharmacy or healthcare settings, along with prior leadership experience.
Skills and Abilities
Successful candidates should have a solid command of GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting practices, along with strong proficiency in ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle. Advanced Excel capability is also important, as are strong analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
