Role Overview
We invite driven individuals to join a dynamic team as a Regional Asset Planner focused on Sub Sahara Africa. This pivotal role involves crafting and implementing strategic asset plans that optimize fleet availability, sourcing, utilization, and redeployment to sync with operational and commercial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute asset planning strategies regionally ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
- Guarantee readiness of critical assets supporting customer operations, project startups, and business growth by collaborating proactively across country teams, supply chain, logistics, and asset management.
- Manage asset logistics including mobilization, demobilization, international transfers, and exit plans to enhance deployment efficiency and responsiveness.
- Assess and reduce risks related to asset supply by analyzing gaps, repair status, investment needs, and redevelopment chances.
- Enhance utilization rates and capital efficiency by identifying and minimizing idle, surplus, and underused assets within the region.
- Uphold asset governance standards, maintaining accurate data and compliance; ensure country Asset Leads and team members adhere to company policies.
- Lead regular regional asset evaluations and drive continuous improvements focusing on fleet readiness, productivity, disciplined execution, and business value generation.

Candidate Profile
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years’ expertise in Asset Planning and Scheduling, ideally in oil and gas or sizeable asset-heavy manufacturing or service sectors.
- Solid knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, alongside material planning and inventory management methods.
- Familiarity with Drilling Services equipment, tools, and related operational procedures.
Essential Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical skills and digital literacy including proficiency with Power BI, data visualization, dashboards, and databases.
- Capability to plan and optimize asset use, translate data insights into actionable resource deployment and efficiency improvements.
- Ability to influence stakeholders in cross-functional and matrix organizational setups.
- Strong execution focus with sense of urgency, accountability, and persistence in following through.
- Experience in leading change within fast-moving operational settings.
- A commitment to continuous improvement aimed at enhancing operational excellence and business outcomes.
