Job description

Role overview

Amazon is seeking a strong recruiter to support university and early-career hiring as part of the AUTA Field Recruiting team. The position plays a key role in connecting the company with top student and campus talent, helping drive growth for one of the world’s most recognized brands. You will work alongside full-life-cycle recruiters, sourcers, and recruiting coordinators across talent search, selection, process improvement, strategy, and client partnership.

The role calls for someone who can manage searches end to end, work to tight timelines, and consistently meet service-level expectations. Success in this position depends on strong recruiting judgment, the ability to build trusted relationships with business leaders and HR partners, and a highly customer-focused approach. The environment is fast-moving and collaborative, and the recruiter is expected to balance urgency, organization, and quality while contributing to a service-oriented team culture.

This position must be based in Toronto and is not eligible for remote work. Travel is required during peak campus recruiting periods.

Key responsibilities

  • Work closely with full-life-cycle recruiters, hiring teams, and other partners to shape an early-career talent strategy.
  • Create recruiting plans with clear deliverables, timelines, and tracking mechanisms that can scale.
  • Design and improve sourcing, assessment, and offer-closing approaches.
  • Develop and maintain candidate pipelines through proactive research and ongoing relationship building.
  • Introduce recruiting practices and operating processes that support long-term growth and align with the company’s customer-focused goals.
  • Document plans with milestones, deadlines, and structured monitoring methods.
  • Coordinate and support candidate interview events.
  • Contribute to special recruiting projects, including evaluating and improving interview best practices.

Required qualifications

  • At least 2 years of progressive recruiting or research experience in a corporate or search firm setting.
  • A bachelor’s degree, or at least 2 years of full-time experience with Amazon.
  • Hands-on experience running recruiting strategy, including employer branding, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview coordination.
  • Experience using CTS/ATS tools to source, track, and manage candidates.

Preferred background

  • Experience juggling several projects at once while planning, prioritizing, and managing time effectively.
  • Exposure to building and executing high-volume, high-quality recruiting plans.
  • Experience in corporate or search firm recruiting, especially with passive engineering talent in a competitive high-tech market.

Compensation and benefits

The base salary range for this role in Toronto, Ontario is CAD 50,300 to CAD 84,000 per year. Total compensation may also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs), with final pay determined by experience, qualifications, and location.

Amazon also offers a broad benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, prescription, and basic life & AD&D insurance, along with RRSP, DPSP, paid time off, and other wellness-related resources.
