Role overview
Amazon University Talent Acquisition is looking for a recruiter who can help identify and hire the next generation of Amazon leaders from student talent. This role calls for someone who can work independently, build trust with stakeholders, handle competing priorities, and stay effective in fast-moving, high-volume, and uncertain environments. A strong recruiting background, analytical mindset, and the ability to turn metrics into action will be important for success.
What you will do
- Work alongside business partners and recruiting teams across Amazon to understand hiring needs for student talent.
- Create fresh approaches to attract, source, assess, and hire students for specialized roles across the company.
- Spot ways to improve candidate experience and make scheduling more efficient.
- Maintain and review candidate and campus data, synthesize results, and recommend process improvements.
- Design recruiting methods, processes, and standard operating procedures that support Amazon’s long-term growth and customer-focused standards.
- Collaborate with full-cycle recruiters, industry hiring teams, and other partners to shape an early-career talent strategy.
- Set and manage customer expectations through bi-weekly business reviews, metric reporting, and status updates.
- Create scalable recruiting plans with clear deliverables, timelines, and tracking.
- Support special recruiting projects, pilots, and process-improvement initiatives.
What the employer is looking for
- A bachelor’s degree.
- Hands-on experience building sourcing and closing strategies for candidates.
- At least 3 years of technical recruiting experience in a high-volume setting with a strong hiring bar.
- Strong focus on results and the ability to keep candidates and hiring teams moving with timely follow-up.
- Corporate recruiting and prior university recruiting experience are preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail plus strong analytical and process-management skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven success managing programs and projects in a fast-paced, complex, changing environment.
- Comfort working with large workloads and taking a hands-on approach when needed.
- A solution-oriented mindset with the ability to identify issues and drive fixes.
- Ability to juggle several priorities at once.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and influencing skills across all levels of an organization.
- Interest in innovative recruiting practices and continuous process improvement.
Compensation and benefits
Amazon offers a competitive package that may include sign-on payments and restricted stock units. Final pay depends on experience, qualifications, and location. Location and pay range
This position is based in Seattle, Washington and is onsite. The listed annual base salary range for Seattle is USD 80,200 to USD 99,100. A separate listed range for Arlington, Virginia is USD 56,600 to USD 99,100.
