The Role

As a Senior Recruiter, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our recruitment capabilities during a vital growth period. Reporting to the Head of Talent, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative startup team focused on recruiting outstanding talent across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes for a diverse range of positions, including technical roles such as engineering and product, as well as go-to-market and operational roles.
  • Work closely with the Head of Talent, company founders, and hiring managers to understand team objectives, coordinate hiring strategies, and execute prioritized recruitment plans.
  • Drive the development and refinement of recruitment processes, including interview structures, calibration methods, and hiring decision frameworks.
  • Implement innovative sourcing approaches leveraging outbound efforts, referrals, community networks, and creative tactics to attract top-tier candidates.
  • Utilize recruitment analytics and dashboards to monitor candidate pipelines, improve time-to-hire, and maintain high hiring standards.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate journey from initial contact through onboarding, ensuring a high level of engagement and satisfaction.
  • Support and train hiring managers with structured interview techniques, calibration sessions, and objective candidate evaluations.
  • Collaborate with marketing and talent leadership to enhance Nectar's employer brand and strengthen its position in the talent market.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7+ years of comprehensive recruiting experience, particularly with proven success in scaling startups within the technology sector.
  • Demonstrated capability in recruiting for both technical and non-technical roles effectively.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented attitude, eager to contribute to and learn from a growing talent acquisition group.
  • Exceptional judgment in assessing cultural fit, role suitability, and long-term candidate potential while balancing speed and quality.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder management, comfortably working with diverse leaders and executives.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with adaptability, low ego, and a proactive approach to ambiguous and fast-moving environments.
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite alongside the team in Palo Alto, California.

Preferred Additional Qualifications

  • Experience within early-stage startups undergoing rapid growth phases.
  • An established network within engineering, product management, or go-to-market talent communities.
  • Familiarity with modern recruitment analytics, AI-driven sourcing tools, or talent intelligence platforms.
