Job description

About the Position

This role is a 12-18 month maternity leave contract focused on rating freight billing orders across various transportation modes including Less-than-Truckload (LTL), Full-Truckload (FTL), warehouse, courier, and retail sectors in a cross-border business environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Rate freight bill orders accurately for LTL, FTL, warehouse, courier, and retail shipments.
  • Communicate shipment details effectively with internal teams and customers.
  • Resolve shipment-related issues efficiently and promptly.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with both internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Provide precise information related to freight and shipments to relevant parties.
  • Manage freight bills and requisite documentation for internal and external use.
  • Ensure correct data input, document imaging, and billing of freight bills.
  • Oversee the rating process and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Manage daily rating tasks aiming for accuracy and revenue enhancement.
  • Work proactively to maximize company revenue opportunities.
  • Identify and support new opportunities for business growth.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in transportation environments involving LTL and FTL operations, domestic and/or cross-border.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of freight rating processes and their application in the transportation industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and perform in a fast-paced, high-volume workplace.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.

Additional Details

Salary Range: 55000 - 65000 CAD annually.
