Quantitative Trading and Research Associate - Portfolio Management

Overview

We are looking for a motivated professional to join our Quantitative Trading and Research team located in New York. This role requires a blend of quantitative development skills together with close collaboration with Trading and Risk departments to develop impactful financial models and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement quantitative models and analytics focused on pricing and managing XVA, Margin, and Counterparty Credit Risk from initial research through to full product deployment.
• Work closely with Trading and Risk teams to translate business requirements into robust quantitative solutions, providing ongoing support which includes troubleshooting and root cause investigation.
• Manage the end-to-end process alongside Technology teams, covering coding, testing, and deployment of quantitative products.
• Lead model governance activities and continuous improvement efforts in collaboration with Model Validation, including maintaining documentation, controls, and ongoing performance assessments.

Qualifications and Skills

• An advanced degree in a quantitative discipline or a bachelor's degree with more than two years of relevant experience.
• Deep knowledge of probability, statistics, and derivatives pricing with a proven track record of developing innovative quantitative methodologies.
• Proficient programming skills in Python and/or C++.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong sense of ownership, problem-solving aptitude, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Background

• Experience with agentic AI and data pipeline development is advantageous.
• Familiarity with the complete product development lifecycle is a plus.
