Role overview
In this role, you will act as the main point of contact and coach for hospitals, helping them uncover opportunities to improve patient care, safety, and outcomes while supporting the execution of quality initiatives and healthcare objectives.
Work location and eligibility
This is a remote opportunity, but applicants must reside in Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oregon, or Wyoming to be eligible. Internal candidates based in other states may also be considered.
Key responsibilities
- Work alongside hospitals to identify opportunities for better patient outcomes and support measurable improvement efforts.
- Build connections with local, state, and national organizations to direct providers and patients toward relevant programs and learning resources.
- Review quality data at the regional, state, and provider level, run learning collaboratives, and deliver technical support as hospitals adopt evidence-based practices.
- Use your knowledge of hospital operations, healthcare systems, and quality improvement methods to engage effectively with partners and providers across the care continuum while staying aligned with state and federal quality priorities.
Required background
- A bachelor’s degree in public administration, public policy, public health, or a related discipline is required, or equivalent professional experience such as 10 years in healthcare experience or an associate’s degree with 5 or more years of experience.
- Hands-on experience in healthcare quality improvement is required.
- Strong command of quality improvement principles and methods used in hospital environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, including the ability to build effective working relationships with executive leaders, clinicians, administrators, and other healthcare professionals.
- Understanding of state and federal hospital regulations, including CMS quality measures, value-based payment models, and accreditation requirements.
- Ability to coach providers and partners, facilitate improvement activities, and deliver technical assistance in a designated subject-matter or setting-specific area.
- If you do not already have an active Enterprise User Administration (EUA) ID, you must create an Identity and Credentialing Tool (ICT) account, complete the required training, and obtain the EUA ID. Failure to do so within the required timeframe may result in termination of employment.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience working in a hospital environment.
- A master’s degree in public health, quality improvement science, health informatics, or a related field.
- Current RN, LPN, MSW, or CPHQ licensure/certification.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams that include physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and administrators.
- Ability to manage timelines, meet deadlines, and produce detailed written reports.
- Skill in turning complex data into practical insights and clear narratives for both clinical and non-clinical audiences.
