Job description

Role Overview

In this role, you will act as the main point of contact and trusted coach for hospital partners. Your focus will be on spotting opportunities to strengthen patient care, safety, and outcomes, then guiding improvement efforts that help healthcare organizations meet their goals.

Location Eligibility

This is a remote opportunity, but candidates must live in Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oregon, or Wyoming to be considered. Internal applicants from other states may also be reviewed.

What You Will Do

  • Work with hospitals to identify improvement needs and help them deliver measurable gains in patient outcomes.
  • Coordinate with local, state, and national partners to connect providers and patients with relevant programs, initiatives, and learning opportunities.
  • Review quality data at the regional, state, and provider levels, support learning collaboratives, and offer technical guidance as hospitals adopt evidence-based practices.
  • Use your understanding of hospital operations, healthcare systems, and quality improvement methods to build strong partnerships across the care continuum while supporting both state and federal quality priorities.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in public administration, public policy, public health, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience such as 10 years in healthcare, or an associate degree with 5 or more years of experience.
  • Prior experience in healthcare quality improvement is required.
  • Strong command of quality improvement principles and methods used in hospital environments.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, including the ability to work effectively with C-suite leaders, clinicians, administrators, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Working familiarity with hospital-related regulations and standards, including CMS quality measures, value-based payment models, and accreditation requirements.
  • Ability to coach providers and partners through improvement efforts and deliver technical support in a subject matter or setting-specific area.
  • For CMS contractor access, the role requires an active Enterprise User Administration (EUA) ID. If you do not already have one, you must complete the required training and obtain it; failure to do so within the required timeframe may lead to employment termination.

Preferred Background

  • Experience working in a hospital setting.
  • Master’s degree in public health, quality improvement science, health informatics, or a similar field.
  • Licensure or certification such as RN, LPN, MSW, or CPHQ.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams that include physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and administrators.
  • Ability to manage timelines, meet deadlines, and prepare detailed written reports.
  • Skill in turning complex data into clear, actionable insights and narratives for both clinical and non-clinical audiences.
