Role overview
Prince Sultan University’s Preparatory Year Program (PYP) in Riyadh is seeking a qualified male Math Lecturer for the 2025–2026 academic year, second semester. Preference will be given to Saudi candidates. This position supports a one-year teaching assignment within a program that prepares students for university study across multiple disciplines.
About the program
The Preparatory Year Program is a one-year bridge between secondary education and university. It helps students strengthen their numerical, language, digital, practical, and study abilities so they can succeed in college-level learning. The program is delivered in a collaborative setting with experienced faculty and staff, and students participate in academic as well as extracurricular activities.
Key duties
- Deliver mathematics instruction to preparatory year students.
- Teach 16–20 contact hours each semester.
- Contribute to departmental committees, workshops, seminars, scholarly activities, and student-related initiatives.
- Support advising and academic engagement in an English-medium environment.
Candidate profile
- Hold both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in the relevant subject area.
- Have completed the qualifying degree at an accredited university through full-time, on-campus study.
- Bring prior teaching experience in higher education.
- Demonstrate strong spoken and written English proficiency, as instruction and advising are conducted in English.
- Show solid interpersonal skills.
- Be comfortable using technology effectively in academic work.

Employment terms and benefits
The role is offered on a one-year renewable contract, with renewal depending on the Dean/Director’s assessment and student evaluations. Compensation is a competitive package determined by academic qualification, rank, and teaching experience.

- Round-trip annual-leave tickets for up to 4 family members: employee, spouse, and 2 children under 18 years old.
- Paid summer vacation of 2 months.
- Two local paid holidays of about 15 days each, where applicable.
- School tuition support of up to SAR 30,000 for children studying within the Kingdom, as specified in the contract.
- Free furnished accommodation with essential utilities and maintenance, subject to availability, or a housing allowance based on rank.
- End-of-service gratuity beginning from the second year of continuous service, provided the employee has completed at least 2 years.
