Job Overview
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) at Asteco is tasked with overseeing all government-related documentation and procedural requirements for employees and business operations within Abu Dhabi. This role ensures compliance with UAE's labor, immigration, licensing, and regulatory frameworks while engaging closely with government authorities and aiding HR and business units with timely processing of official papers.
Key Duties
- Manage employment visa applications, residence permits, Emirates ID requests, medical fitness tests, and labor contracts for staff members.
- Maintain coordination with government bodies such as ICP, MOHRE, Abu Dhabi Municipality, TAMM, Department of Economic Development (DED), and other relevant regulators.
- Handle tasks like visa renewals, cancellations, status changes, and dependent visa processing.
- Ensure timely renewal of all corporate licenses, permits, and registrations.
- Guide new employees through immigration and government compliance requirements during onboarding.
- Organize staff medical assessments, Emirates ID biometric appointments, and visa stamping operations.
- Provide support to employees concerning government queries and documentation needs.
- Stay updated on changes in UAE labor and immigration laws and guarantee adherence across all company activities.
- Maintain comprehensive records on employee visa status, license expiries, and official approvals.
- Prepare detailed reports concerning visa tasks, permit renewals, and compliance monitoring.
- Ensure accuracy and punctuality in all documentation processes.
- Build and nurture professional relationships with government departments and external agencies.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as HR, Finance, Operations, and Administration to meet corporate objectives.
- Serve as the company representative during engagements with ministries, municipalities, and regulatory institutions.
- Support management of company vehicle registrations, renewals, and traffic documentation requirements.
- Assist in the completion of attestation, notarization, and legal documentation procedures.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by supervisors to facilitate smooth business operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, or related disciplines.
- Preference given to UAE Nationals, though candidates of other nationalities with pertinent UAE PRO experience will be considered.
- Possession of a valid UAE driving license.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience as a PRO in the UAE, preferably within real estate, property management, or related sectors.
- Strong familiarity with Abu Dhabi’s government regulations and systems.
Skills & Competencies
- Comprehensive understanding of UAE labor and immigration laws.
- Proficiency in using government platforms such as ICP, MOHRE, and TAMM.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational capability and effective time management.
- Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
- Maintains high professionalism, confidentiality, and precise attention to detail.
- Competent in Microsoft Office software.
