Job Overview
This position involves functioning within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to assist in month-end closing activities, forecasting, budgeting, and guiding strategic projects. The successful candidate will handle various financial analysis assignments simultaneously and be accountable for providing budget, projection, and variance commentary each month.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the FP&A Director to turn department strategies into practical action plans.
- Manage the full annual budgeting process, from distributing templates to departments through final board approval and system integration.
- Oversee and authorize budget transfers, maintaining accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare sectional budgets and monitor financial performance against budget guidelines.
- Manage Selling, General and Administrative (SGA) expenses budgeting and control.
- Assist with preparing financial forecasts and tracking cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to all corporate financial policies and procedures.
- Engage with financial and non-financial stakeholders to aid their decision-making processes.
- Drive ongoing enhancements in systems, processes, and practices, aligning with global standards to boost productivity and reduce costs, including the use of AI tools.
- Ensure the delivery of timely, accurate sectional reports that meet quality standards and company requirements.
- Support reporting for the group and aid in financial business analysis.
- Gather relevant business data when necessary and conduct any ad hoc financial analyses as assigned.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related discipline is required; a Master’s degree or professional postgraduate certification is advantageous.
- Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Strong quantitative financial capabilities with a minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal aptitude to interact effectively with stakeholders across all levels.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
