About the Role

We invite expressions of interest from psychologists interested in joining APM New Zealand as part of our ACC services team. Opportunities are available for mental injury and neuropsychological assessments (including MICPI and WRMI), as well as delivering evidence-based treatment across ACC Psychological Services, Pain Management, Concussion care, and Training for Independence programs. Both full-time and part-time positions are open, located in Queenstown and Dunedin.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as CBT, ACT, EMDR, and trauma-informed care focusing on functional rehabilitation and outcome measurement.
• Undertake mental injury and neuropsychological assessments with competence, including diagnosis, causation analysis, functional impact evaluation, and ACC-aligned reporting.
• Manage manageable caseloads across various ACC contracts including Sensitive Claims, Psychological Services, Training for Independence, Pain Management, Police, and private referrals.
• Provide high-quality clinical assessments and comprehensive reports.
• Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to support clients’ recovery journeys.

Qualifications and Experience

• Hold a Master's degree or higher accredited by the New Zealand Psychologists Board.
• Registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board and possess a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• Competent in delivering high-quality, evidence-based talking therapies, including but not limited to CBT, EMDR, DBT, Schema Therapy, and ACT.
• Strong skills in formulation, documentation, clinical assessment, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• For neuropsychological assessment roles, postgraduate neuropsychology training and relevant vocational registration are required.
• Training in psychopathology and familiarity with diagnostic frameworks such as DSM-5-TR or ICD 10/11 is essential.

Professional Requirements

• Valid full New Zealand driver’s licence.
• New Zealand or Australian citizenship, or possession of a valid New Zealand work visa.
