Role Overview
MatchBox Consulting Group is hiring a Proposal & Marketing Specialist for a growing construction and development company in Burnaby, British Columbia. Reporting to senior leadership, this position combines pursuit management with marketing coordination, brand stewardship, and content development across digital and traditional platforms.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, meticulous, and comfortable working in a busy environment. This role supports business development by helping prepare winning proposals while also shaping how the company presents its projects, people, and industry expertise.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will manage proposal submissions from start to finish for EOIs, RFQs, RFPs, and other pursuit opportunities. You will track deadlines, submission requirements, and schedules to ensure all materials are delivered on time.
You will also help maintain and refine proposal templates, content repositories, tools, and established best practices. On the marketing side, you will support campaigns across digital, print, email, and social channels, and contribute to presentations, brochures, reports, and other branded materials.
Additional duties include maintaining marketing calendars, creating content for social platforms, internal and external communications, and website updates, as well as writing and editing copy for announcements, campaigns, presentations, and corporate documents. You will also coordinate newsletters, event-related communications, project milestone updates, and ensure brand consistency across all materials.
Qualifications
This position calls for 5 to 8 years of experience in proposals, marketing, communications, or a similar field. Experience supporting proposal submissions in construction, engineering, architecture, or related industries is important, along with a strong understanding of EOIs, RFQs, RFPs, and pursuit workflows.
Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and content creation abilities are required, as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, is also expected. Familiarity with social media management tools and digital marketing platforms will be an asset, along with excellent coordination, multitasking, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Eligibility and Work Authorization
Applicants must already be living in Canada and legally permitted to work in Canada. Any necessary Canadian work permits must be secured before applying. Candidates who do not meet these conditions will not be considered.
