Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a Proposal Manager to lead the end-to-end RFP process for a design and engineering professional services firm. This role is hands-on, requiring prior comprehensive experience specifically in architecture, engineering, or professional services proposals rather than general marketing expertise. The candidate will be part of a regional marketing team operating across Southeast Asia and the broader Asia Pacific, partnering closely with office leadership to align with business development goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire RFP lifecycle including opportunity intake, qualification, go/no-go decisions, coordinating timelines, and final submission.
- Guarantee proposals meet client specifications and adhere to internal brand guidelines.
- Lead the creation of proposals and client presentations with strong attention to graphic design and layout—not limited to content writing.
- Craft compelling win themes and messaging, translating complex technical and project details into engaging persuasive narratives.
- Support business development strategy and positioning; assist leadership with interview preparation.
- Enhance competitive messaging to clearly differentiate the firm in the marketplace.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years' marketing experience focused on proposals, RFPs, or pursuits in architecture, design, engineering, or other proposal-intensive professional services sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in fields such as architecture, interior design, marketing, communications, journalism, graphic design, or business.
- Proven success managing complex and valuable pursuits from inception through completion.
- Advanced skills in Adobe InDesign are essential; familiarity with Photoshop and Illustrator is advantageous.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required; experience with Google Slides, Keynote, and Miro is beneficial.
- Experience using CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
