Global Head of Capital Projects

Role overview

An international advanced manufacturing business is seeking a senior capital projects leader to oversee major plant development initiatives in Singapore. The position centers on complex greenfield and brownfield manufacturing projects, including new facility setup, capital expenditure planning, contractor coordination, construction delivery, commissioning, and transition to operations.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering large industrial and manufacturing facilities and the confidence to work across multiple geographies, stakeholders, contractors, and internal leadership groups.

Key responsibilities

• Direct large capital programs such as greenfield plant builds, brownfield expansions, and capacity enhancement projects for manufacturing operations.
• Steer the full project lifecycle from initial feasibility and concept development through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, startup, and operational handover.
• Oversee scope, timelines, budgets, risk management, quality, safety, and governance across all project phases.
• Coordinate EPC and EPCM contractors, engineering advisors, construction firms, suppliers, and internal delivery teams.
• Contribute to site selection, due diligence, permit planning, infrastructure readiness, and overall execution approach.
• Develop and manage project teams operating across several countries.
• Work in close alignment with senior leaders and cross-functional partners in operations, engineering, procurement, finance, EHS, and external stakeholders.
• Implement project controls, progress reporting, stage-gate processes, and execution standards for capital projects.

Ideal candidate profile

• Extensive experience delivering greenfield manufacturing plant projects.
• Background in industrial, process, or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience running major CAPEX programs across Asia.
• Strong capability in managing EPC and EPCM contractors.
• Able to lead projects from feasibility or FEED through construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Solid command of project controls, cost, scheduling, risk, safety, procurement, and governance.
• Experience collaborating with senior management and regional cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
