Overview
A prominent global chemical manufacturing company is looking for a seasoned Head of Operations for the Asia-Pacific region. This leadership position entails overseeing operations across various countries within APAC, driving excellence in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and distribution, while upholding top-tier safety, quality, and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction for manufacturing and operational functions across multiple APAC locations.
- Champion initiatives aimed at operational excellence emphasizing safety, quality, efficiency, cost control, and ongoing improvement.
- Lead and nurture country-specific operations teams to cultivate a culture of high performance.
- Supervise activities related to manufacturing, supply chain, warehousing, logistics, and distribution.
- Formulate and implement regional operational strategies aligned with corporate goals.
- Manage regional KPIs, budgets, and overall performance metrics.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory, environmental, health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate closely with commercial, engineering, finance, and executive leadership departments to foster business expansion.
Candidate Requirements
- Substantial leadership background in chemical manufacturing, process industries, industrial gases, specialty chemicals, or related manufacturing sectors.
- Proven ability to lead operations across multiple sites and countries within the APAC region.
- Strong expertise in manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and operational excellence practices.
- Experience driving organizational change and continuous improvement programs.
- Excellent leadership acumen, stakeholder engagement, and communication capability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced qualifications are considered beneficial.
