In light of the escalating housing crisis, Respond is expanding its team and seeks a passionate and skilled Project Worker to contribute to realizing this vision.

Role Overview

The role involves working full-time on a permanent basis at the High Park Homeless Service in Dublin 9, reporting directly to the Homeless Service Manager. The working week consists of 40 hours with a flexible schedule that can include any day from Monday to Sunday.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and admit families into the Supported Temporary Accommodation service, providing comprehensive inductions.
• Assist families in securing permanent housing by helping identify suitable properties, including guiding searches through publications and online platforms.
• Support families during property viewings and landlord negotiations, ensuring homes meet safety, maintenance, and size suitability criteria.
• Guide families through understanding and completing Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) processes.
• Clarify tenancy agreements and negotiate rents with landlords before families move in.
• Conduct assessments and collaboratively develop individualized support plans for families.
• Maintain and update records within the Pathway Accommodation & Support System (PASS) as appropriate.
• Facilitate and advocate for families to access local services such as healthcare, welfare benefits, training, education, and employment opportunities.
• Establish and nurture relationships with local services and agencies relevant to clients' needs.
• Prepare accurate written documentation and reports related to casework.
• Maintain professional conduct and appropriate boundaries at all times.
• Participate actively in team meetings and ongoing professional development initiatives.
• Respond promptly and correctly to safety and security incidents, ensuring adherence to service protocols and thorough documentation.
• Conduct routine security, property, occupancy, and room checks, reporting findings accordingly.
• Ensure the upkeep of a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment consistently.
• Perform other duties as required within the scope of the role.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a relevant Level 7 qualification such as Social Care, Social Policy, Addiction Studies, Social Science, Housing, or Welfare.
• Familiarity with Pathways to Home, Housing Assistance Payment (HAP), Housing Needs Assessments (HNAs), and Supported Living Initiatives (SLI).
• At least one year of experience working with homelessness services, including awareness of homelessness causes, addiction, and mental health.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex, challenging client situations effectively.
• Knowledge and application of Child Protection standards.
• Non-judgmental, respectful approach toward clients with strong adherence to professional boundaries.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative teamwork skills.
• Highly motivated, dependable, and adaptable individual.
• Willingness to work on rosters that include evenings and weekends.
• Compliance with ongoing Garda Vetting procedures.

Compensation and Application Details

The salary range for this position is between €40,018 and €51,788 annually, with most offers falling in the initial to mid-range bracket depending on experience and qualifications. The closing date for applications is Wednesday, 12th August 2026.
