About the Role
The Project Officer for Housing and Homelessness Cultural Safety is responsible for delivering project management and business systems support aligned with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Safety framework. This role aids the Cultural Safety team and the larger First Peoples Housing and Homelessness Branch by providing project guidance and support for several initiatives designed to enhance cultural safety throughout Homes Victoria and the wider housing and homelessness sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations, Traditional Owners, and entities within the First Peoples housing and homelessness network.
- Support projects defined in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Safety framework to fulfill departmental goals, including involvement in project design, execution, monitoring, and assessment.
- Assist the Manager and the broader branch through data collection, facilitating monthly reporting protocols, and offering advice on processes and system management.
- Perform administrative duties such as managing document presentation, crafting communication materials using MS Word and PowerPoint, handling inquiries from stakeholders, and streamlining team inbox management.
