Job description

Role overview

A renewable energy and infrastructure business is hiring a Project Coordination Specialist to help deliver major projects across Ireland. This permanent opportunity sits within a growing delivery team working on large-scale developments that support the country’s transition to a low-carbon future.

You will work closely with experienced Project Managers and a PMO team, gaining practical exposure to complex infrastructure programmes while strengthening your capability in project management, stakeholder coordination and commercial support.

What the role involves

In this position, you will contribute to the planning, execution and governance of significant capital projects from early development through to delivery. The role combines project controls, reporting, finance tracking, stakeholder liaison and general project administration.

Key duties

  • Assist in delivering large renewable energy and infrastructure programmes.
  • Support planning, scheduling, reporting and governance tasks across projects.
  • Keep project records, controls and reporting tools accurate and up to date.
  • Organise meetings, track actions, prepare reports and support presentations.
  • Manage project information across teams spread across different disciplines and locations.
  • Track schedules, risks, budgets and overall project performance.
  • Help with procurement processes and contract administration.
  • Support financial reporting, forecasting and budget monitoring.
  • Liaise with internal teams, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to community and external stakeholder engagement when needed.

Experience and background

The employer is looking for a degree-qualified candidate with a background in Engineering, Business, Project Management or a similar field. At least 1 year of experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, construction, utilities or energy work is required.

Strong coordination, organisation and communication skills are essential, along with a keen eye for detail and the ability to juggle several priorities at once. Confidence using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Project, is important. Experience with document management systems such as SharePoint or ProjectWise would be a plus.

Professional project management credentials such as PMP, PRINCE2 or an equivalent qualification would be advantageous.

What is offered

This role provides the chance to work on high-profile projects that are important to Ireland’s infrastructure and renewable energy agenda. You will gain exposure to PMO best practices, a collaborative team culture and strong opportunities for learning and career growth. The package includes hybrid working, a competitive salary and benefits, and the chance to contribute to Ireland’s Net Zero goals.
