About the team
The PGC (Professionally Generated Content) organization at TikTok works to expand and improve a high-quality professional content ecosystem. The team concentrates on areas such as TV and film, sports, and informative content, helping publishers, rights holders, media businesses, and individual creators build strong content, reach audiences, and create durable business outcomes.
Beyond ecosystem growth, the team also focuses on product foundations and distribution planning to support a smooth, secure, and strong user experience across global markets. The scope of work includes audience consumption, content supply operations, business planning, traffic distribution, and ecosystem health, with the goal of improving efficiency and the overall TikTok content journey.
What you'll do
- Own growth strategy for high-quality informative content creators in the US market and help expand creativity and value on TikTok.
- Spot new opportunities by studying content trends, the competitive landscape, and broader ecosystem movements in the informative content space.
- Work closely with publishers, media partners, and educational creators to understand their needs and convert those insights into product requirements with Product Management.
- Partner with Regional Partnerships, Content Operations, Product Management, and Data Science to execute initiatives that improve product effectiveness and the user experience for timely, factual content.
- Serve as the connector between Product Management and business teams by turning complex business needs into clear recommendations for product investment and ecosystem growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above, plus at least 3 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or corporate strategy at fast-growing technology companies.
- Strong command of English as the working language, along with excellent communication, persuasion, coordination, and execution abilities.
- Ability to work independently, stay results-oriented, and move initiatives forward with limited supervision.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, including the ability to define issues, break down complex business situations, and build quantitative models and business cases.
- Preferred: SQL knowledge, experience in two-sided marketplaces, platform businesses, or product strategy, familiarity with creator economics, digital publishing, or content partnership models, and an MBA or advanced degree.
