Job description
Role overview
This position leads a North America-based team responsible for managing a portfolio of sports creators and athletes on TikTok. The focus is on helping these partners grow, improving product adoption, and building stronger content and education programs that support the wider Sports business.
The role requires a seasoned people leader with a coaching style, the ability to build strong team culture, and experience working with high-value creator and athlete accounts. It also involves translating global Sports priorities into an effective North America strategy that drives impact across creator growth, partner satisfaction, and business outcomes.
What you'll do
- Manage a team dedicated to growing a curated portfolio of Sports creators in North America, with an emphasis on product adoption and the development of case studies featuring high-impact creators.
- Strengthen the position of TikTok as a leading destination for sports creators and athletes both inside the company and in external conversations.
- Use deep expertise in content strategy to negotiate and manage valuable partnerships with creators, top athletes, sports organizations, and agencies.
- Create scalable approaches for partner acquisition and retention that support business objectives and improve creator satisfaction and engagement.
- Build a strong cross-functional network with Sales, Marketing, Public Policy, and Communications to advance opportunities such as creator elevation, onboarding improvements, and product development.
- Set up ongoing feedback loops between creators and product teams, using a test-and-learn mindset to turn business priorities into practical initiatives.
- Work closely with the Sports Creator Programs team on the rollout of education, priority features, and product adoption initiatives for managed creators in North America.
- Partner with creator support teams to surface and advocate for support needs, including sensitive, urgent, or recurring issues affecting managed sports creators and their content performance.
- Identify strong creator examples and case studies from North America to use in education initiatives and creator marketing campaigns.
Experience and qualifications
The ideal candidate brings at least 5 years of leadership experience managing large teams and creating measurable business impact in the creator and content ecosystem, preferably with sports industry experience across content, entertainment, social media/influencer platforms, agencies, or similar companies.
You should be a collaborative leader who can work across teams, organizational structures, and regions to drive results. Success in this role also depends on the ability to build scalable frameworks, develop partner management capability within the team, and operate as a consensus builder in cross-functional environments where priorities may differ.
Strong documentation, presentation, communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills are important. A BS is required. An MS, MA, or MBA is considered an advantage.
