Overview
As the Product Manager for Travel Retail APAC at YSL, your role focuses on steering product launches and driving growth of key products, supporting brand expansion and strengthening consumer connections within the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and interpret consumer insights, market trends, and competitor activities to advise senior management.
- Lead the execution of new product launches, sustain growth for core products, and manage the ongoing promotion of the key product catalogue.
- Design and oversee marketing mix strategies including integrated marketing communication (IMC), digital, and retail initiatives to create engaging brand experiences for consumers.
- Customize communication materials such as imagery, digital content, and point-of-sale displays to meet regional needs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments like sales, logistics, and education along with partner agencies to develop comprehensive business strategies and ensure timely delivery.
- Provide management with informed recommendations about category development through launch analyses and strategic reports.
- Manage advertising and promotion budgets while ensuring sales forecasts are precise.
- Prepare and deliver clear and effective communications for executive leadership.

- Ability to identify market drivers and convert trends and consumer behavior data into actionable insights.
- Strategic brand thinking including conceiving innovative products and integrated campaigns that align with retail and shopper environments.

Candidate Profile
- A university degree or higher, preferably in Business, Marketing, or a similar field.
- At least three years’ marketing experience relevant to the role.
- Sound understanding of beauty product categories.
- Proven experience in research methodologies and market data analysis.
- Familiarity with travel retail market dynamics, competitors, trends, and consumer insights is an advantage.
- Fluency in Mandarin reading and communication is crucial for effective interaction with Chinese counterparts and suppliers.
