Job Overview

Join ASOS.com's Marketing & Corporate Services Procurement Team to oversee various spend categories, collaborating with stakeholders company-wide to enhance commercial value, mitigate risks, and align with strategic goals. This role offers a dynamic environment suited for advancing procurement expertise, particularly within diverse marketing and corporate service segments at a leading global online retailer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement strategic category plans for Marketing and Corporate Services that use market insights, supplier intelligence, and a strong grasp of business needs to optimize expenditure and outcomes.
  • Independently manage a diverse array of strategic and high-value procurement projects spanning multiple categories.
  • Balance and prioritize procurement tasks across several projects concurrently while staying aligned with the organization’s shifting priorities.
  • Cultivate and maintain influential relationships with stakeholders, including those at Executive and C-suite levels, offering expert procurement advice and commercial insight.
  • Serve as a domain expert in Marketing and Corporate Services procurement by providing up-to-date market and supplier analysis and seizing commercial opportunities.
  • Strengthen partnerships with key suppliers to foster innovation, value creation, and ongoing enhancements.
  • Identify and generate savings, cost avoidance, and value-adding opportunities, with clear reporting on outcomes and business impact.
  • Design and apply pragmatic sourcing methods that align with company requirements, risk tolerance, project complexity, and stakeholder capabilities.
  • Oversee supplier and commercial risk, pinpoint potential vulnerabilities, and enact suitable mitigation approaches.
  • Support supplier performance evaluation processes to ensure adherence to contracts, service standards, and organizational goals.
  • Champion Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives within the team and across procurement activities.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess experience in fast-paced procurement settings managing multiple competing priorities with autonomy and effective workload prioritization.
  • Proven expertise in category management across a broad spectrum of marketing and corporate service areas, including agencies, media, creative services, professional services, people management, facilities, and business support.
  • Skilled in tailoring procurement rigor and resource allocation depending on project scale, risk, and stakeholder demands while maintaining engagement and support.
  • Successful history in developing and executing category strategies that yield commercial benefit, operational efficiencies, innovations, and risk reduction.
  • Experienced in leading complex sourcing events, negotiations, and projects through to contract finalization within tight deadlines.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement systems, governance, policies, and a proactive stance toward continuous process improvements.
  • Adaptable to rapid business changes, with strong prioritization capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving aptitude managing simultaneous complex challenges while collaborating across functions.
  • Pragmatic approach with the ability to influence stakeholders constructively without relying on authority.
  • Superior communication skills, adept at building trust and credibility across all organizational levels.
  • Expert supplier relationship management and negotiation skills, fostering partnerships that deliver concrete business value.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, administrative, and presentation capabilities to convert data into strategic insights.
  • Independent and self-driven with an ability to keep teams and leadership well-informed.
