Candidate Profile
- Master's degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality (a Ph.D. is preferable).
- Over 15 years of experience in hospitality education, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership positions such as Principal, Dean, HOD, or Academic Head.
- Profound understanding of academic administration and curriculum design.
- Excellent leadership abilities, communication skills, and capacity to build industry networks.
- Experience with accreditation processes like NAAC or NBA is an advantage.
Role Purpose
The Principal will be responsible for steering the academic and administrative responsibilities of the institute, focusing on fostering exemplary teaching standards, promoting student growth, enhancing industry collaborations, and driving institutional advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead academic planning initiatives, oversee curriculum delivery, and uphold quality standards.
- Ensure alignment with university protocols and accreditation requirements.
- Advance innovative teaching methodologies and experiential learning.
- Supervise performance metrics for faculty and students.
- Recruit, mentor, and assess faculty members while cultivating a collaborative and scholarly environment.
- Enhance student experiences, encourage discipline, and promote internships, live projects, and placement opportunities.
- Actively address student issues and support their holistic development.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with industry partners to boost internships, placements, and guest lectures.
- Manage academic and administrative functions ensuring regulatory compliance and prepare necessary institutional reports and documentation.
- Support admission processes, outreach programs, and represent the institute at various academic and industry events.
- Drive research activities, publish academic work, and promote innovation and collaboration with industries.
