Role Overview
The Regional Human Resource Manager will specialize in large-scale recruitment of frontline and blue collar staff for pan India operations. This entails comprehensive responsibility for manpower planning, sourcing through varied channels including labour contractors and institutes, conducting screening and onboarding processes, and ensuring timely deployment of recruits. The role demands speed, process discipline, extensive geographic coverage, and strong vendor partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with operational heads to forecast manpower needs across locations and roles, developing detailed hiring calendars considering seasonal and business variation factors.
- Maintain live tracking of open positions, candidate progress, confirmed joiners, and deployment across business units.
- Develop sourcing strategies geared towards blue collar markets, engaging labour contractors, vocational institutes, government employment exchanges, and rural job fairs.
- Manage a network of vendors and contractors, negotiating terms and monitoring quality benchmarks.
- Conduct large-scale walk-in drives, recruitment camps at strategic locations including transportation hubs and vocational campuses.
- Implement digital outreach via WhatsApp Business and several job portals to maximize reach.
- Operate employee referral schemes tailored for blue collar workers with streamlined processes and timely incentives.
- Partner with educational institutes and government skill development schemes for a continuous flow of trained candidates.
- Perform rapid yet structured candidate screening, including physical, skill, and documentation verification.
- Ensure thorough background checks and medical fitness certifications are completed for sensitive roles.
- Coordinate onboarding formalities such as documentation, statutory registrations, uniform issuance, and induction programs focused on safety, hygiene, and conduct.
- Manage deployment logistics including travel, accommodation, and coordination with operational units for smooth joining.
- Monitor attendance rates post-hiring, address early attrition risks, and maintain robust communication to reduce no-shows.
- Oversee empanelment and performance evaluation of labour contractors and staffing agencies.
Desired Qualifications and Profile
- Experience in hiring large volumes of blue collar workforce is essential.
- Familiarity with Industrial Relations and labor laws.
- Male candidates only are preferred.
- Capability to work under deadlines and handle multi-location recruitment operations.

- Various catering and food service roles such as cooks, kitchen assistants, stewards, and pantry staff.
