About the Role
Our client, a distinguished international engineering consultancy with a focus on data centres and mission-critical infrastructure, is expanding its Dublin team. This position offers the chance to contribute to some of the most technically advanced and challenging data centre projects across Europe, delivering facilities with exceptional levels of reliability, efficiency, and uptime.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and project delivery for large-scale data centre and mission-critical ventures.
- Create innovative HVAC, cooling, chilled water, ventilation, and heat rejection solutions within critical infrastructure contexts.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight across multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage projects through all phases including concept design, construction, and commissioning.
- Perform engineering calculations, thermal modeling, equipment selection, and conduct technical design reviews.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote technical skills development within the team.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Substantial experience in highly regulated sectors such as data centres, mission critical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or healthcare facilities.
- Strong expertise in HVAC systems, cooling technologies, chilled water circuits, and essential mechanical infrastructure.
- Proven ability in performing engineering calculations, design reviews, and specifying equipment.
- Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, IES, Hevacomp, and BIM technologies.
- Familiarity with engineering standards applicable in Ireland, Europe, and internationally.
- Chartered Engineer status or progress towards accreditation is advantageous.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
