Job Overview
We are currently hiring an experienced Planner specialized in roads and infrastructure projects to support initiatives primarily in Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah. This role involves the preparation, monitoring, and control of project schedules ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and UAE regulatory frameworks.
Key Duties
- Create and maintain baseline and critical path schedules for road and infrastructure projects.
- Use Primavera P6 and MS Project tools to prepare, update, and supervise timelines.
- Coordinate multiple project elements and manage dependencies between packages.
- Identify project delays and develop corrective strategies.
- Monitor actual progress against planned schedules and deliver detailed progress reports including variance and forecasting analyses.
- Perform risk assessment and "what-if" scenario planning to mitigate potential issues.
- Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors (QS) teams to aid in cost monitoring and forecasting.
- Assist in analyzing Extensions of Time (EoT) and contractual claims.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in planning roles for roads and infrastructure projects within the UAE market.
- Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with UAE construction standards and regulations.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
Additional Information
The role requires close coordination with project managers, site personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression. This is a full-time position based in Sharjah, UAE, allowing candidates to work onsite with strong support from the group.
