Position Overview
Join ABI Rehabilitation in Northland as a dedicated Physiotherapist focused on delivering community-based rehabilitation. This role involves supporting individuals recovering from brain injuries, concussions, and complex trauma to regain independence and improve quality of life. Both part-time and full-time roles are available.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate within an experienced interdisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Speech Therapists, Rehabilitation Coaches, Clinical Exercise Physiologists, and Medical Specialists.
- Provide personalized rehabilitation programs aimed at helping clients achieve goals in home, workplace, school, and community environments.
- Manage a varied caseload across adult and pediatric neurological and rehabilitation services.
- Deliver therapy in various community settings as well as a supportive clinic environment.
- Engage in ongoing clinical coaching and training to enhance rehabilitation practice.
- Contribute to service development and help advance New Zealand practice guidelines related to brain injury rehabilitation.
Candidate Requirements
- Current registration and practicing certificate with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand.
- Strong enthusiasm for rehabilitation and enabling client independence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building trusting client relationships.
- Interest in neurological rehabilitation, concussion care, and functional rehabilitation within community practice, coupled with openness to continual learning and professional growth.
