Role overview
Bendigo Bank is seeking a Personal Banker, internally titled Customer Relationship Officer, to join the Geelong West branch. In this position, you will support customers across their day-to-day and future banking needs, helping create a strong and positive service experience.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Geelong West. The roster is 76 hours per fortnight.
What the role involves
- Provide tailored banking outcomes that work for both the customer and the bank by understanding customer needs, goals, and priorities.
- Support customers with online banking, digital tools, and general digital literacy as banking services continue to evolve.
- Assist customers with personalised lending options, including personal loans and credit card solutions.
- Learn continuously through on-the-job development and other training opportunities.
- Build strong connections with customers, colleagues, and the local community while contributing to a positive team environment.
What you should bring
To do well in this role, you should be committed to excellent customer service and comfortable working in a relationship-focused environment. The bank is looking for someone who can confidently engage with customers, identify appropriate solutions, and collaborate effectively with others.
- Proven success in generating sales outcomes through solutions that genuinely align with customer needs.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with both new and existing customers in person and by phone.
- Ability to quickly establish trust and rapport with customers and teammates.

- Consumer lending experience is valued, but it is not mandatory.
