Job description
Role Overview
We are recruiting two Peer Support Leads to provide expertise based on lived experience, guiding place-based peer support services within community mental health settings in Waltham Forest & Redbridge and Havering & Barking and Dagenham. These roles focus on driving cultural transformation, engaging communities, enhancing partnership collaboration, and advancing inclusive, recovery-oriented peer support.
Key Duties
- Supervise and support Senior Peer Support Workers to maintain wellbeing and workforce development.
- Lead professional training initiatives and foster workforce growth.
- Strengthen collaboration with local teams and community partners to ensure services are accessible, ethical, and represent community diversity.
- Champion culture change and facilitate community engagement and group development within the peer support framework.
- Monitor equality, diversity, and inclusion measures within the services.
- Coordinate partnerships and communication strategies to support service objectives.

- The role reports directly to the Head of Peer Support and involves direct responsibility for senior staff.
- A probationary period applies to this position.
- This role qualifies for a High Cost Area Supplement, paid at either 15% (Outer London) or 5% (Fringe), pro-rated for part-time employment, with specified minimum and maximum annual amounts.
- The employer is a registered sponsor but sponsorship availability varies by role; basic salary calculations exclude this supplement for fairness within the trust.
