Job description
Company Overview
At Deloitte, we foster an environment where your curiosity and passion are valued, providing opportunities to collaborate with brilliant minds and make meaningful contributions. Our Auckland-based Human Capital Consulting team is seeking a skilled SAP payroll specialist to join us in driving impactful solutions.
Role Overview
As a Payroll Specialist Lead, your responsibilities include scoping client requirements, conducting workshops to analyze current and future state processes, and leading business process re-engineering efforts. You will apply your SAP payroll expertise to design blueprints, configure systems, and collaborate with development teams on technical documentation. Testing solutions and assessing their fit will be critical, along with supporting the Application Support team by resolving service tickets and enhancement requests after go-live. Building relationships and knowledge sharing within teams and clients are integral to this role.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for individuals with demonstrated experience implementing SAP Payroll solutions (including SAP EC/ECP, SAP ERP, SAP S4HANA) in either professional services or industry settings. You should have deep subject matter expertise covering payroll business processes, best practices, and legislation impacts (New Zealand knowledge preferred but not essential). Strong business analysis skills are necessary to deliver detailed specifications, documentation, and operational efficiencies that add real value. An open communication style that promotes change management, inclusivity, and trust with stakeholders is important. Collaboration across cross-functional, local and offshore teams focused on client success is expected.
