Role overview
An established and thriving business in Doncaster city centre is looking for an experienced payroll professional to join its team. The role can be taken up on either a part-time or full-time basis.
What you'll do
- Run several payroll cycles each week, month, and every four weeks from start to finish.
- Take ownership of payroll processing across multiple payrolls.
- Respond to and resolve employee payroll questions and issues.
- Work out and process variable pay and overtime hours accurately.
- Make sure payroll activity follows statutory rules, including tax and pension obligations.
- Keep payroll records complete, correct, and well documented.
- Process weekly and monthly auto-enrolment pension payments for providers.
- Prepare payroll reporting and submit required outputs.
- Stay current with payroll legislation changes and apply updates when needed.
- Work with colleagues to ensure payroll is delivered smoothly and on time.
What the employer is looking for
- A solid background in payroll with demonstrable hands-on experience.
- Practical experience using Sage Payroll.
Salary and benefits
- Annual salary of £30,000 to £38,000, depending on experience.
- Option to work full time or part time.
- Free parking on site.
- Support available for CIPP or AAT study, if wanted.
- 20 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, with additional holiday entitlement increasing over time.
