This position is a broad and hands-on finance role, working closely with the two directors while also supporting the finance, production, and sales functions.

The business is open to flexible working arrangements for the right candidate and is looking for someone who is comfortable taking responsibility for the finance function while contributing positively in a collaborative small-team environment.

What you will do

  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable on a weekly basis.
  • Process supplier invoices and arrange payments each week.
  • Manage debt collection and keep customer accounts up to date.
  • Prepare weekly cash flow updates and related reporting.
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Prepare and lodge BAS and PAYG obligations.
  • Support payroll processing and superannuation administration.
  • Create financial reports and management reports.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Maintain accurate and well-organised financial records.
  • Provide administration support, with the role split approximately 60% finance and 40% admin.

About you

The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of bookkeeping or finance experience, with bookkeeping or accounting qualifications preferred. Strong capability in Xero is essential, along with a high level of accuracy, excellent attention to detail, and solid organisational and time-management skills.

You should also have strong communication and problem-solving skills, experience with ERP/MRP platforms, and ideally exposure to Ostendo, though that is not mandatory. Manufacturing industry experience is beneficial but not required. Basic SQL or database knowledge is preferred. A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a small team are important.

What is on offer

  • Flexible working hours.
  • A friendly and supportive team culture.
  • The chance to contribute to an innovative Australian manufacturing company.
  • A long-term opportunity with a growing exporter.
