Role Overview

As the Payroll Country Owner for Australia and New Zealand, you will serve as the key expert ensuring that our Strada Pay platform complies with all local payroll regulations and functions efficiently. Collaborating closely with Product Development, you will help evolve the platform to meet regulatory and user demands while providing expert guidance across client deployments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary payroll authority for Australia and New Zealand with comprehensive knowledge of local tax laws and compliance standards.
  • Track and evaluate upcoming legislative changes by liaising with compliance teams, industry bodies, and government sources.
  • Collaborate with product teams to influence the roadmap ensuring up-to-date country-specific features.
  • Update and maintain country workbooks reflecting the latest regulatory requirements and compliance updates.
  • Review and enhance payroll processes to reduce inefficiencies and minimize manual effort.
  • Drive improvements in product functionality, user experience, and cost-effectiveness tailored to the local market.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts for Strada Pay’s methodology, delivery, templates, and standards within the assigned region.
  • Provide expert input to project teams during client system implementations for smooth operational transitions.
  • Manage client customization requests, balancing innovation with standard practices and compliance.
  • Support pre-sales by demonstrating Strada Pay features and sharing best practices with potential clients.
  • Engage with a global network of Country Champions to share knowledge and align strategies.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 5 years of payroll experience within Australia and New Zealand.
  • Minimum educational qualification: Graduation.
  • In-depth understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and regulations relevant to the assigned countries.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly.
  • Meticulous, process-focused with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • High sense of responsibility, ownership, and a service-oriented approach.
  • Self-driven, proactive, adaptable to a dynamic, multi-national work environment.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively across diverse teams.
