Role Overview: Payroll Specialist - Singapore
As a Payroll Specialist based in Singapore, you will play a vital role in supporting client engagement, ensuring accurate payroll delivery, and maintaining compliance with legislative requirements. You will collaborate with various teams to facilitate implementations, support operational excellence, and contribute to continuous improvement programs.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist managers with timely and accurate client communications.
- Support implementations and go-live activities effectively.
- Provide daily functional support for successful payroll processing.
- Maintain Client Solution workbooks and process documentation.
- Ensure testing of system maintenance and adhere to work instruction updates.
- Review Statements of Work to confirm suitability before client sharing.
- Address and escalate technical and functional issues appropriately.
- Collaborate with operations, transformation, and product teams to drive automation and improvements.
- Manage legislative change roadmaps and ensure team competency.
- Support year-end processes and manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Identify upselling opportunities and assist in resolving client escalations.
- Coach and upskill team members through training activities.
- Comply with security standards and accurate time recording.
- Participate in team activities and promptly report operational issues.
- Build positive relationships across business units and stay informed of company communications.

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience managing Singapore payroll in HR consulting, outsourcing, or corporate environments.
- In-depth understanding of payroll processes, legislation, and integration points with third-party providers, tax compliance, benefits, and timekeeping.
- Prior experience with HRIS systems such as Workday, SAP, or PeopleSoft is advantageous.
- Relevant payroll certifications are preferred.
Skills & Attributes
- Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and risk mitigation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-driven with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, global work environment.
